Structure: ‘ing’ forms & gerunds

This time in our structure help we talk about ‘ing’ forms. ‘Ing’ forms can be used in different situations and that’s why they can be difficult to understand. They can be used as progressive forms, nouns and adjectives. Today we want to focus on the noun forms, they’re also called gerunds. Because they’re nouns, these ‘ing’ forms can be the subject or objet in your sentence. You can use them in sentences where other nouns are possible, providing the sentence makes sense. Look at some of the extra examples below the diagram.
