Vibrations

Here’s the text to the listening from yesterday.

Enjoy!!

An MD-88 took off as normal on a two-hour flight. It had 131 passengers and 7 crew members on board. During the climb out from Los Angeles International Airport, the crew stopped the climb at 8,000 feet, because of vibrations in the plane. They couldn’t identify the source of these vibrations and decided to return to Los Angeles International Airport. They made a safe landing 33 minutes after departure.
After landing and disembarking the passengers, the plane was taken to maintenance to be checked.

Cargo door problem

Here’s the text to the listening from yesterday.

Enjoy!!

An ATR-42 , with 36 passengers on board was taxiing to the runway when the captain noticed a cargo door warning light. He thought it was a malfunction and continued with the takeoff.
As the plane took off it didn’t pressurize correctly and as a result, the captain decided to return to their airport of origin before reaching FL080. They landed safely 12 minutes after departure.
After an inspection on the ground, it was discovered that the cargo door had not been closed properly.
