- It’s doesn’t go directly to the scrap yard because it’s too big in one piece, it has to be broken into smaller pieces.
- After the plane has been broken down into manageable pieces they’re taken to the recycling centre where they’re broken down into much smaller pieces which are then separated by a powerful magnet. The pieces of valuable metal are then taken away to be used in phones, computers, TVs and many other products.
