Flashcards on this page
This page includes a 12-card interactive flashcard deck. Here’s a taste:
overrun / overshoot (v.) — To go past the end of the runway, usually because of a problem stopping the plane.
orbit / circle / enter a holding pattern (v.) — To fly in circles close to an airport and wait before landing — often because of weather or traffic.
line up (v.) — To position the plane on the centreline of the runway, ready for take-off.
Members study all 12 cards — flip, shuffle and star them, and review each one with spaced repetition on the Study dashboard, timed for just before it fades.
You’ve reached the Members’ part of this briefing. The first part is free — Members read everything: every article, grammar activity, narration and dictation, plus the complete archive and the full Study zone — vocabulary decks, the Grammar Check and writing tasks.
