Instead of the usual post, this week we decided to do something different and publish an element of the structure of English that students have difficulty with.
This time in our structure help we talk about verbs and prepositions. Which verbs can use ‘to’ after them? Take a look at the diagram below to see some of the most common verbs that can use ‘to’ after them. It’s important to remember that ‘to’ is only one possible preposition with these verbs, some of these verbs can use other prepositions too. Read the examples, write some examples yourself and read them out loud to become more familiar with them.
